Exhibit Website

Background
Despite being one of the nation's top trade show exhibit companies, my agency's client had not updated their site in over five years, and they were suffering from outdated UI and nonexistent UX. Our goal was to create a sleeker, more modern approach through which to display their impressive portfolio of exhibits. As the lead designer and project manager on this project, I restructured the content of the site, implemented an updated design system, and assisted in supervising development and QA.
Research
We began by identifying our target audience and creating personas. Through discussions with key stakeholders, we discovered that our average user was middle-aged (40's or 50's) and female. Additionally, by analyzing data from the existing site, we found that 70% of our users visited using their desktop rather than mobile.
Designs
After several rounds of wireframing, we began working on high-fidelity designs. We knew that this website would frequently be updated with new projects, white papers, and blog articles - so we worked to create a robust design system, with flexible modules that could be rearranged throughout the site. We focused on creating a set of clean, modern templates, featuring high-quality photography and ample white space. Rather than over-utilizing the company's brand colors (yellow and orange), we used them as CTA's and accents, and brought in some deeper blues.
